Heatstroke

A dog who has gotten too hot, either via the environment or from too much activity in hot conditions, may pace back and forth, looking very uncomfortable, or may throw himself to the ground. He will pant heavily, and his muzzle may be frothy. His body temperature will rise rapidly, and if he's not cooled off, he will go into shock and may die.

The first thing you must do is call your veterinarian. He will probably advise you to cool down your dog before transporting him to the vet's clinic. Run water from a hose over your dog, if the water in the hose is cool, or drape him in a wet towel and keep cool water running over him. As soon as you have him wet, transport him to the vet's clinic.
