Poisons

The symptoms of poisoning can vary, depending upon what your dog has gotten into. If you need to induce vomiting, you can do so by feeding him several teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide.

♦ Antifreeze: Induce vomiting, call your veterinarian to notify her you're on your way, and then get there right away.

♦ Chocolate: Induce vomiting, call your vet, and follow instructions.

♦ Ibuprofen: Induce vomiting, call your vet, and follow instructions.

♦ Insecticides: Do not induce vomiting except on the vet's instructions, which will depend upon the type of insecticide. Bring the container with you to the vet's office.

♦ Rodent or roach poison: Induce vomiting and get to the vet's office immediately.

♦ Snail or slug poison: Induce vomiting and get to the vet's office immediately.
